Tomorrow a digital manufacturing course for teachers begins at the Via Volsinio Comprehensive Institute. This cycle of seven meetings is part of Project Future Workshop, funded by the PNNR tender on "Digital Spaces and Tools for STEM." The teachers, coordinated by Mauro Del Santo and Daniele Vigo, will learn to use the school’s Fab Lab machinery to develop inclusive and innovative didactic activities. At the end of the laboratory meetings, the ten teachers will share what they have learned with their colleagues, as a first step towards autonomy in the use of the Fab Lab and their participation in the development of maker courses for the “Our School” Community.

Next Friday, April 14, the University of Udine will hold a hackathon between teams led by the Coding Girls with students from the Dante Alighieri and Galilei Pacassi–Fermi schools in Gorizia. During the challenge, the students will be helped by Coaches Lorenzo Bellina and Cristiano Goretti.

Also on Friday, a new series of PCTO courses will begin as part of Programme Smart & Heart Rome. The course on sustainable fashion has been developed in collaboration with the Masters in Fashion Studies at Sapienza University of Rome. The Innovation Gyms at the Liceo artistico Enzo Rossi and IIS Giorgi Woolf - the Industry and Crafts specialization for Made in Italy (Fashion) will participate. The hybrid course will allow groups of students to explore the universe of fashion and the emergence of a new sustainable supply chain, introducing them to the design and prototyping of sustainable accessories created using digital manufacturing technologies and rapid prototyping. The trainers are Gianni Denaro, designer and PhD in Product Design (Sapienza), Irene Caretti, designer and maker, and Daniele Vigo, maker at the Rome Innovation Gym.

Moreover, please note that today, April 11, is the deadline for submitting candidatures to the third edition of the “Rompiamo gli schemi” Award.
