Training that puts you on the path to success
Do you have a dream, an idea, or a project? Would you like to change your life but don't know where to start? Do you need a new job that is more rewarding and engaging? Are you struggling to balance work time with family commitments?
Job Digital Lab is a project by Fondazione Mondo Digitale and ING Italia aimed at strengthening digital skills and discovering new employment areas and emerging professional profiles. This project is part of ING Group's investment in communities. The goal is to empower three million people by 2025 for a more inclusive and resilient society by implementing activities that remove barriers to social and economic participation.
The fourth edition (2023-2024) trained more than 9,000 people through 33 training sessions, 18 micro-learning products, 9 territorial events in collaboration with Chambers of Commerce, and involved 15 ING role models in corporate expertise volunteer activities.
The context
The numbers from the Digital Decade Report 2023 are clear: only 46 percent of the Italian population possesses basic digital skills. This alarming figure risks undermining the Italian population's ability to fully take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technology and to exercise digital citizenship, with negative impacts on our country's inclusiveness. Although the importance of developing new skills and updating job profiles is recognized as a priority, the number of companies that actually offer training to their employees is still insufficient.
Job Digital Lab aims to foster the digitization process as a tool for cross-disciplinary empowerment and inclusion, focusing on three specific objectives:
- Encouraging digital literacy and participation in education;
- Helping to bridge the mismatch between the supply and demand for skills by businesses;
- Countering the gender gap.
