Experiential learning at the Maker Faire
Once again, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be at the Rome Maker Faire (October 20-22). This edition will focus on the impact of technological innovation, as emphasized by the title of the opening conference: Innovators Like Us.
Starting next Friday, Stand G5 in Pavilion 8 will welcome students, teachers, and families to experiment with typical Innovation Gym activities – from making to immersive reality – to promote lifelong learning and provide a space for debate and growth in the educational community.
Activities will involve a wide range of targets in heterogeneous and transversal areas: from free labs for classes to orientation and self-enterprise courses for youth in transition, from teacher training courses to digital literacy and active inclusion for the most fragile categories (elders, citizens, foreigners, etc.), as well as social innovation and urban renewal projects. A small corner will be dedicated to virtual reality. Participants will be able to immerse themselves in the Divine Comedy, produced by Rai Cinema, with Quest 2 visors, donated by Meta to make the digital world accessible to everyone.
Besides the stand, FMD will also provide an informal training game at one of the didactic areas with labs from Project Fully Enjoy the Internet, Starter Project Wro® (World Robot Olympiad) and the “Our School Professors” Community.
