Piedmontese students take centre stage at Roll Cloud's Creative Day with digital solutions on diversity & inclusion

Yesterday, Turin hosted the second Creative Day of the Roll Cloud. Working on the Cloud project, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS as part of the Opening Future programme (Google Cloud, Intesa Sanpaolo and TIM Enterprise), to introduce secondary school students in Piedmont to the opportunities offered by the cloud and artificial intelligence.

At the Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin, over 50 young people attending three-year courses at five secondary schools in Turin, Asti, Cuneo and Novara took part in a creative challenge focused on diversity and inclusion. The goal? To work in small groups to imagine new cloud services with integrated AI capabilities that can respond to real challenges such as accessibility, intercultural communication and overcoming bias.

They were guided in this process by experts from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, together with professionals from Intesa Sanpaolo, TIM Enterprise and Google Cloud. The ten finalist projects, selected from over fifty proposals received during the school year, were evaluated by a multidisciplinary jury.

The final challenge is part of a multi-stage training programme that also involved secondary school students. After the first ‘Cloud Roll Talk’ webinar and the ‘Easy Cloud Story’ challenge, participants built their own creative path, from generating AI images to presenting concrete prototypes.

Next stops at RomeCup 2025

  • 7 May, Opening Future stand: ‘crerIAmo’ workshop with a challenge between AI and illustrators.
  • 8 May, workshop for secondary school students on AI and creativity: ‘Re-imagine your future and train your critical thinking!’.

Roll Cloud continues to demonstrate how digital innovation, when well directed, can become a tool for active citizenship, inclusion and growth for the younger generation.
