The fourth edition of Roll Cloud kicks off
Every new beginning brings with it the possibility of transforming change into opportunities for growth and exploring new ways of collaborating, learning, and creating. Starting over is much more than just starting again. It is about the possibility of reinventing ourselves, imagining new scenarios, and building a future that will truly reflects who we are and who we want to become.
In a rapidly changing world, in which new technology is transforming every aspect of our lives, and the professions of the future are emerging in ways we never imagined, it is essential to be curious and eagerly embrace new challenges. In this context, the fourth edition of Roll Cloud – Working in the Cloud, a free project reserved for schools in Piedmont, began in November. Thanks to the collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, Google Cloud, and TIM Enterprise, the project aims to create new learning opportunities for students and teachers, also by connecting the world of school with that of business. This edition, like the previous ones, is not only an opportunity for digital awareness and training, especially on cloud computing technology and AI, but also a course that promotes a fruitful meeting between all the parties involved: schools, companies, and FMD itself, with the aim of developing an environment of mutual growth.
One of the most significant aspects of the project is the corporate knowledge volunteering model that allows partner company employees to share their professional experience with the new generations. Experts become mentors for an hour, helping students to understand how the skills acquired at school can be applied in the working world, but also how to develop new practical skills that are adaptable to real contexts. However, digital skills, are essential but not enough. So, Roll Cloud also addresses “human” and soft skills, such as the ability to work in teams, problem solving, creativity, and communication. In a world in which change occurs at an increasingly rapid pace, knowing how to adapt is no longer just an advantage, but a necessity. These skills are crucial to help young people become aware citizens and professionals who are capable of facing future challenges.
Another key element is orientation, which provides students with the opportunity to better explore both themselves and the context in which they live by reflecting on their inclinations and passions. This will allow young people to make more informed choices about their future. So, in the new edition, we will provide high school students with a guided session of the Personal Ecosystem Canvas, a self-assessment tool for analysing their resources, goals, and potential, and setting personal and professional growth goals and monitoring them over time.
In this edition, there will also be creative challenges on issues such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and diversity & inclusion, that will involve students in practical activities. Thanks to the “learning by doing” methodology, students will have the opportunity to deal with global issues of great relevance, putting innovative solutions into practice for a more sustainable and inclusive future. Group work will not only stimulate the creativity of the students, but also promote the development of a broader and more conscientious vision of social and environmental issues, preparing them to become protagonists of change.
Therefore, Roll Cloud is a project that reaches beyond simple digital training. It is a unique opportunity for meeting, growth, and innovation. With the help of companies and professionals who wish to contribute their knowledge, we will provide students not only with the skills necessary to face the future, but also with the awareness of their own abilities and the motivation to pursue their dreams in a constantly changing world.
Starting over, therefore, is never going back, but moving forward with awareness and determination, being ready to embrace what comes.
Happy fourth edition to everyone!
