Job Digital Lab: increase self-awareness with the Personal Ecosystem Canvas
Social stereotypes, pay differences, professional issues … and yet studies reveal that inequality has a cost, and also damages men.
The last issue of weekly L’Espresso once again addresses the issue of women and work with an article signed by Chiara Sgreccia that presents data, EU studies and various quotations (Marcella Corsi, Chiara Volpato, Rossella Chigi, Scilla Signa, Azzurra Rinaldi). The article concludes that equality would be better for everyone, but how can it be achieved?
Today, we begin from the self-awareness of younger women. As part of Programme Job Digital Lab, developed with Ing Italia, we have developed a course for young women at university and in the final years of high school, a course addressing self-awareness and enterprise. The sessions are held by expert coaches and role models from Ing Italia. The course is based on five 2-3 hour webinars and will end with a final event (in presence) to share the ideas developed by the young women.
During today’s session, the students mapped their personal ecosystems and acquired not only tools for self-awareness, but also an understanding of their strong points – both present and desired for the future. This was accomplished thanks to a personal and collective development tool conceived by Alfonso Molina, Personal Chair in Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale: the Personal Ecosystem Canvas.
