Artificial Intelligence and Security

Artificial Intelligence and Security

Three events at the Milano Digital Week with ING, Microsoft, and SAP.

Tomorrow, the Milano Digital Week (Oct. 10-14, 2024) will present three parallel appointments dedicated to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

The morning will begin at 9:00 (Via Fulvio Testi office) with a challenge: Hunting Fraud – Cyber-detectives for a Day. Sixty students from Milan and province will act as an investigate team to uncover a public financial fraud with the help of experts from Women for Security, a professional community that operates in IT security. The speakers will prepare the students for the challenge through training and cyber-career orientation. The event, which was organised to raise awareness on the importance of sharing data and leaving traces on-line, is promoted by ING Italia as part of Job Digital Lab, the national programme active since 2020 that has been chosen by over 31,000 individuals to improve their digital skills and learn about emerging job opportunities. The focus of the event reflects ING’s commitment to raising awareness on cybersecurity and promoting critical thinking.

At 9:30, the Microsoft House on Viale Pasubio will open its doors to students for the Game Changers: Artificial Intelligence is Changing the Rules workshop that will explore creative opportunities, as well as new skills and professions in the videogame industry. In fact, AI is driving profound changes that will transform the manner in which games are designed, developed, and enjoyed. The workshop is promoted with Microsoft Italia as part of Ital.IA Lab, the national programme created to help individuals and communities exploit the potential of AI in a digital economy that is constantly evolving. In its first year of activity, the project trained ca. 9000 individuals.

At 10:00, together with SAP Italia, at the Istituto Schiaparelli-Gramsci, we will present the fourth edition of Rising Youth, the project that helps upper secondary school and university students to improve the skills necessary to face the challenges and continuous transformations of the job market. The appointment, dedicated to Artificial Intelligence for the Sustainability of Companies and Individuals, will include an interactive session with SAP experts to study the benefits of a responsible and reliable use of AI. Moreover, we will present the final hackathon that will be held at RomeCup 2025 (May 7-9, 2025, University of Roma Tre).
