Roll Cloud: Personal Ecosystem Canvas Session
Talking about oneself is never easy, even less so in front of your classmates. Indeed, let's take a step back. Perhaps, it is even difficult to just find a moment to stop and reflect on who we are, what we desire, and where we want to go. The era we are living in, the 21st century, undoubtedly presents a series of challenges that profoundly influence the lives of young people and their self-discovery.
In this context, for most of the training programmes organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale for students in the final three-year period of secondary school include a special session on self-awareness and self-entrepreneurship, through the use of the Personal Ecosystem Canvas (PEC), the personal and collective development tool created by Alfonso Molina, Scientific Director at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
This year, this also concerned Project Roll Cloud – Working in the Cloud. “The week that has just ended witnessed our coaches (Antonio Succi, Marco Petrone, Raffaele Pelligra and Giulio Domina) engaged in three days of sessions using the PEC in 8 year-five classes at the Federico Albert High School in Lanzo Torinese, in the Province of Turin, reflecting different curricula, from hospitality to human sciences, like the background of our trainers. A team with psychoeducational skills on the one hand and digital skills on the other, a combination that has proven successful in satisfying the students' expectations,” explains Elisabetta Gramatica who coordinates the project.
“The kids found the experience very different from the usual orientation activities. They explained that they felt listened to and particularly appreciated the open dialogue, the possibility of expressing their doubts and concerns. Moreover, listening to our experiences also helped them calm their anxieties about the future,” added the coaches.
“After a brief introduction on the meaning of the personal ecosystem and the main challenges presented by the 21st century, the students were helped by our coaches to complete the series of tables providing precious information on themselves. The session ended with the elevator pitch format and a collective reflection to draw the conclusions of this first self-analysis,” explained Elisabetta.
“Thanks, in particular to IIS Federico Albert Deputy Principal, Prof. Antonella Capurso, for immediately believing in this opportunity, to our trainers Antonio, Marco, Raffaele and Giulio, who launched themselves into this experiment of continuous sessions, and thanks , above all, to the students for their desire to learn more about themselves more every day,” he concluded.
