Uguale per tutte

The project was born out of a collaboration with Studio legale Gianni & Origoni (GOP) and Urban Vision to combat gender-based violence in all its forms with awareness-raising and training activities on the preventive tools and remedies available from a multidimensional perspective. It has obtained the patronage of the Polizia di Stato and the activities with schools are carried out in synergy with the Safer Internet Centre - Generazioni Connesse. The starting point is the importance of developing in citizens, and in particular in young people, a greater awareness of the different aspects connected to this emergency: the various forms in which it manifests itself (including aspects of economic violence), the constitutional and European value of gender equality, prevention and the key role of work and economic autonomy. It is young people themselves who must take action, both individually and as a group, for the common good and to bring about change. Only in this way can initiatives to combat gender-based violence become concrete, lasting and widespread.

AIMED AT
  • Secondary school and university students in Rome, Milan, Turin, Padua, Bologna and Naples
  • Staff at anti-violence centres and associations
  • Citizens.
OBJECTIVES

ìThe project aims to respond to a series of needs: to spread full knowledge of the preventive measures that protect women's freedom and safety, to provide information on the main warning signs as a preventive measure, to support and strengthen relationship education projects in schools, to illustrate the guarantees of equal opportunities provided for in our economic and social system. At the end of the programme a shared Manifesto will be drawn up to help create a culture of respect, which will be given wide visibility on the main communication channels.

ACTIVITIES

Four actions:

  • Information: round tables with the participation of the most active figures in the fight against gender violence. On 15 May, the first round table was held in Rome, moderated by Elisa Anzaldo (TG 1) and entitled ‘Gender violence: a complex phenomenon, between educational prevention and legislation’.
  • Training: experts from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, GOP and the State Police provide an analysis of the phenomenon during engaging meetings, talk about the ‘sentinel’ code of conduct, illustrate the legislation, concrete remedies and preventive tools available. Students will be divided into work groups for brainstorming and collaborative writing sessions.
  • Corporate volunteering: legal support and training for operators of anti-violence centres and local associations in prevention and protection actions (warning, removal from the family home, restraining order, protection order, etc.), and in the fight against economic violence.
  • Communication: messages disseminated through the spaces made available by Urban Vision with a multimedia approach.
DURATION
