The final event of the People Power Talent Tour was presented yesterday.
The People Power Talent Tour with Italgas, the initiative addressing university students in STEM and economic disciplines, ended yesterday with a round table in Milan. The tour organised four sessions in Rome, Turin, Bologna, and Bari. In order to promote sustainability and digital transformation, university students were involved in creative challenges and in the creation of the Decalogue of Change, a document that reflects the company's commitment to national progress and support for young Italian talent.
The winners of each stage of the Talent Tour participated in the final event at the Italgas headquarters: The results of the creative challenges were presented and the Decalogue of Change was shared at a round table. The decalogue was presented by students from the Polytechnic of Bari and Turin.
Our President Renato Brunetti, founder and CEO of Unidata, underlined the importance of innovation and youthly enthusiasm in the energy sector. Furthermore, by stimulating young people's ideas on the issue of smart working, he sparked a debate and the conclusion that in addition to a competitive salary, new resources prefer flexibility for the work of the future.
Amongst the managers who expressed their point of view Alessandro Menna, Group Security Director at Italgas, praised the resourcefulness of young people, underlining how digitalisation can make essential gas and water services more effective. Raffaella Marcuccio, Procurement and Material Management Manager at Italgas, expressed satisfaction in listening to young people, complimenting them on their curiosity and ability to discuss current issues. Finally, Peter Durante, Human Resources & Organization Officer Director at Italgas, highlighted that over 50% of the profiles that the company is seeking still do not exist, recognizing that Generation Z is changing the work landscape significantly.
The Talent Tour confirmed the ability of young talent to address the challenges posed by digital transformation and sustainability. Italgas has reiterated its commitment to promote innovation and enhance the contribution of the new generations, creating new opportunities for professional growth and direct interaction with the company's HR team. The co-creation and training experience contributed to defining a Decalogue of Significant Change, outlining the sustainable future that Italgas pursues.
