Coding Girls: 46 students develop an app with Marvel.
“Creating an innovative and useful application that promotes Gorizia as a city of culture, providing users with a wide range of information, cultural resources, and recommendations on how to experience the city in an innovative manner.” The challenge launched by University of Udine, as part of the Coding Girls Programme, was accepted by 46 students from two schools (Duca degli Abruzzi and Istituto G. D'Annunzio) organised into nine teams.
While the students were working to develop an app with Marvel software, at the University of Gorizia announced that it had won a tender from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) worth €1,500,000. The “Covert” national research project, coordinated by the University of Udine, focuses on preventing and blocking cyberattacks and monitoring possible network and device vulnerabilities. At the end of the joint work and elevator pitches, jurors Alessia Bressan, Cristiano Gosetti, and Maria Elena Zuliani, Computer Science students at the University of Udine, presented the following awards based on innovation, usability, inclusiveness, creativity, communicability:
