From schools to businesses, a national programme to tackle “an epoch-making transformation that Italy cannot afford to miss”
“We are facing an epoch-making transformation and a huge innovation in the form of artificial intelligence. This is an opportunity that Italy cannot afford to miss”.
The video presentation of Ital.IA Lab describes the spirit of the project, which was born out of a collaboration between Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Microsoft Italia. The aim is to spread the culture of generative artificial intelligence throughout Italy, starting with schools and extending to businesses and public administration.
"Thanks to the Ital.IA Lab course, our school has given us the opportunity to learn new ways of using artificial intelligence. The students are enthusiastic, they have the opportunity to work in groups and thus develop all those soft skills that are also required in the business world."
Through practical workshops, students experiment with innovative tools, create guide robots, programmes to generate stories and much more, learning to use AI responsibly and creatively.
To date, Ital.IA Lab has already trained over 30,000 people and created 30 training hubs throughout the country.
‘Microsoft's history is based on the democratisation of technology, because we can make it an opportunity for the country if we all share it.’
Ital.IA Lab is also a space for discussion with entrepreneurs and local administrations to understand how tools such as Copilot can optimise processes and increase productivity and competitiveness.
