Six thematic challenges for 250 students
After a training programme involving over 250 secondary school students from the Palermo area, the final event of Coding Girls in Palermo, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS and the University of Palermo, will be held on 8 April 2025.
The initiative, divided into six STEM thematic areas, involved over 50 peer tutor university students from the departments of Physics and Chemistry, Engineering, Business and Statistics, and Biological, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies. Their contribution has favoured concrete and dynamic orientation, bringing the younger generations closer to study programmes and professional opportunities in the technological and scientific fields.
During the final event, the teams will compete in a coding and innovation marathon, facing each other on six thematic challenges: Coding with Arduino; How does data travel?; We are the data; Chatbots are all you need; Paradoxes in statistics and probability; Augmented reality for chemistry.
The initiative consolidates the collaboration between the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the University of Palermo, strengthening their joint commitment to the dissemination of digital and scientific culture.
