The Rome Pacinotti Archimede Team at Robocup with Ikaro
The Rome Pacinotti Archimede robotics team was born several years ago, but Francesco D'angelo (team leader, system designer, mechanic and chassis designer), Flavio Crocicchia (Software developer and camera software developer) and Lorenzo Addario (Second software developer and camera software developer) have been part of it for just under two years. In May 2023, they participated in the RomeCup Soccer Open League Category, placing third. Then they decided to move to the Light Weight Category and participated in RomeCup 2024 and RoboCup 2024 in Verbania, arriving in “pole position” in both competitions and qualifying for the RoboCup underway in Eindhoven (July 17-21) [see news: RoboCup Opens Today in Eindhoven].
Team Ikaro is coached by Prof. Paolo Torda, a friend and historic supporter of the RomeCup. “The kids are used to live with technology. We can create it.”
