From September 2009 to present, project Telemouse has involved many schools and elderly centers in Rome. Based on the Grandparents on the Internet model, school computer labs and student tutors helped elders to learn about computers. Telecom Italia equipped more than 50 Internet Corners in the elderly centres of Rome, allowing them to study and perfect their new digital skills under the guidance of young volunteers and elder experts.

• 120 digital literacy courses in the schools of Rome
• 150 coordinating teachers
• 1800 tutors from the many schools
• 2 editions of Everyone on the Internet, the Week of Digital Literacy
• 50 Internet Corners by Telecom installed in the elderly centres
• 15 elders attended the “master” advanced course
• 12000 elders participated in the various digital activities
• 65% participation by women
• 87 the age of the eldest student
• 13 elderly centers manned by knowledge volunteers
• 174 candidates for the Telemouse 3.0 – Knowledge Volunteers Award
• 45 students manned the Internet Corners in the elderly centres
• 9 the age of the youngest tutor
