The narrative approach of Job Digital Lab: 16 business stories
Thanks to the narrative approach curated by Nicoletta Vulpetti, the Job Digital Lab project, created with ING Italia, doesn't just offer digital training, but builds a bridge between learning and social transformation, giving a voice to those who have been able to reinvent themselves thanks to the skills they have acquired. The project offers an innovative interpretation of corporate social and community responsibility (RST), highlighting the link between digital training, entrepreneurship and social impact in the various areas where the events are organized [see blog]. Each story tells of a growth path that is deeply rooted in local specificities, showing how digital innovation can generate new opportunities starting from the needs and resources of a territory.
A significant example is the story of Isata Saal, who found an opportunity in the StartUp Lab to transform her idea into an entrepreneurial project: “I was born in Sierra Leone and now I live in Italy. Thanks to Job Digital Lab, I was able to give shape to my project 'West Africa Treasures', an e-commerce that promotes African craftsmanship and fair trade practices. The training I received allowed me to structure my idea and approach the world of digital entrepreneurship.”
Similarly, the project supported Flavia, founder of SpesaBus, a platform created in response to the needs of her local area during the pandemic. The service connects small local producers with consumers, optimizing logistics and promoting conscious consumption: “SpesaBus is not just a job, but a personal mission. We want to guarantee a better future for the new generations, supporting the local economy with a sustainable home delivery system.”
The stories of Isata and Flavia, as well as those of many other Job Digital Lab participants, demonstrate how digital training can enhance local resources and respond to concrete needs in different areas. This model of integration between inclusion, training and innovation translates into a measurable impact on employability, local economic growth and digital security.
The value of Job Digital Lab is also recognized in ING Italy's sustainability report, where the project emerges as a success story in strengthening digital skills and creating real opportunities for the people and communities in which it operates.
