Intra-university master course on design.
Registration is open until November 18 for ProPART - 2nd-level Intra-university Master Course on Design and Interactivity, held in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome and the Venice IUAV University and co-directed by Francesca Gelli (IUAV) and Carlo Cellamare (Sapienza). ProPART is addressed to young graduates who, starting from different backgrounds, wish to make participation their specialization and field of work, acquiring skills in territorial investigation and animation, public engagement, public debate, citizen science, creative conflict mediation, co-design of urban common goods, and digital participation.
The master course is organised in three modules, each of which will take place both in on-site (50%) and on-line (50%). The on-site part includes two modules in Venice, at IUAV, and one module in Rome, at Sapienza University. In addition to the training activities, there will also be an internship or individual project work.
Module 2 is coordinated by Sapienza University (Digital Participation and Community-led Local Development). It includes three courses with seminars, lessons, collective labs and field work. The three courses include two important seminars and a final lab. The first seminar, entitled “Rome Participates” was held at the Casa dell’Architettura with the participation of the Order of Architects of Rome, various experts, and important representatives from the administration. The second seminar, entitled “Platforms, Proximity, and Participation” was held at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and included a debate amongst various professionals, public authorities, and experts in the field of digital participation [see news: Platforms, Proximity, and Participation]. The final lab addressed hands on co-development at the Parco della Mistica.
Various scholarships are available to partially cover registration costs:
- 5 scholarships for 500 euro – to partially cover registration costs.
- 1 scholarship for 400 euro – to partially cover registration costs for those who register with credit recognition.
- 2 scholarships for 2000 euro – to partially cover registration costs for those who intend to attend a traineeship or project work at the Fondazione Charlemagne Onlus, in Rome.
- 2 scholarships for 2000 euro – to partially cover registration costs for those who intend to attend a traineeship or project work at the Fondazione Paolo Bulgari Onlus, in Rome.
