Factor J students meet Duato and Jim Swanson, J&J CEO and CIO.

On June 26, the new Milan offices of  Johnson & Johnson  in the Bicocca neighbourhood were officially inaugurated. This is an important milestone for the company’s presence in Italy and, from our point of view, for its social responsibility activities with schools. Global CEO Joaquin Duato and CIO Jim Swanson were present at the inauguration together with the Managing Director of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine ItaliaMario Sturion, whom we recently met at RomeCup 2024.

Institutional speakers included Attilio Fontana, President of the Regione Lombardia, Emanuele Monti, President of the Regional Commission on Social Sustainability, Housing, and Health for Lombardy, and Alessia Cappello, Milan Councillor for Economic Development and Labour Policy.

Furthermore, six students represented the over 5000 students involved in the fourth edition of Project Factor J. They were invited to present the projects developed during the year to the community and meet with Joaquin Duato  and Jim Swanson, J&J CEO and CIO.

The student representatives were:

Carolina Barretta from IIS De Amicis-Cattaneo in Rome, winner of the HealthBot Contest with Project Pharmabox, accompanied by Professors Rossella Lo Giudice, Cinzia Coluzzi, and Stefania Famà.

Daniele Coletta and Francesco Zagaglia from IIS Federico Caffè in Rome, who competed in the contest with Project B.O.N.E, accompanied by Professors Giuseppina De Felice Proia and Francesca Bussotti.

Catia MautiAlexandra Gaglione, and Elisa Di Folco from IIS San Benedetto in Cassino (Frosinone) for the “Exhausted Students” Podcast, accompanied by Professor Giovanna Russo.

Divided into two groups, the students held a presentation in English on the Health BOT Contest and their volunteering experience that led to the production of the “Exhausted Students” Podcast in collaboration with Cittadinanzattiva.
