Generative AI is not just a trend but a driver of transformation and growth for companies, from the largest and most structured to SMEs that have always been the economic backbone of our country. In this scenario of profound change, skills are fundamental. In order to keep up and seize the opportunities provided by generative AI, students and professionals must update their skills through adequate training courses. Microsoft's Work Trend Index, for example, recently found that 62% of Italian managers currently do not want to hire workers who do not have AI skills. Thanks to the collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the creation of the Ital.IA Lab training programme, we aim to promote the necessary skills in generative AI. Meetings like today's are essential to start testing the potential of AI and its areas of application in participant organizations in a practical way, identifying the concrete advantages immediately.
Andrea D’Onofrio, Marketing Lead for Data & Analytics, Microsoft Western Europe
AI is increasingly present in all of our lives. We are currently facing an extraordinary convergence of technological innovation with unprecedented possibilities. Artificial intelligence disrupts not only the way we think about technology, but also the way we live, work, and interact.
Carlo Mazzoleni, President, Chamber of Commerce of Bergamo
Businesses are understanding that artificial intelligence has become an essential tool for competitiveness, but only a few are already set up with it. However, the transformation is underway and AI is a true necessity.
Giacinto Giambellini, President, Bergamo Sviluppo
Our Chamber of Commerce considers AI an area of extreme interest for the provincial economic system. Indeed, being able to exploit its potential can really drive productivity in all sectors.
Maria Paola Esposito, Secretary General, Chamber of Commerce of Bergamo
This is the context of the informational and training activities carried out by the PID Lab of Bergamo Sviluppo that aim to allow companies to understand the scope of digital innovation and drive the entire production system and that of services.
Cristiano Arrigoni, Director, Bergamo Sviluppo
We are very proud of the Ital.IA Lab programme that we are promoting with Microsoft. This event allows us to introduce SMEs to the potential that technology provides to remain competitive on the market and use AI responsibly and effectively.
Mirta Michilli, Director General, Fondazione Mondo Digitale
The topic of artificial intelligence and its application is at the centre of the projects promoted by the chamber of commerce. So, after the success of the first meeting, we wanted to renew our commitment on this topic, collaborating with Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Microsoft, the organizers of these events dedicated to generative artificial intelligence. Considering the enthusiastic response obtained, in fact, we are convinced that this format can be replicated in all chambers of commerce. Events like this represent a great training opportunity for entrepreneurs, also acting as a catalyst for innovation and the growth of SMEs. One aspect that makes this initiative unique is the pragmatic nature of the event itself, which allows participants to test and learn the advantages provided by generative AI. This direct experience is essential to understand the potential of this technology, to successfully apply them in a business context, and to remain competitive.
Antonio Romeo, Director Genereal, Dintec-Consortium for technological innovation
