Coding Girls, in the magazine Digital Agenda the story of the experience with Roboteco-Italargon

The vertical alliance between schools, universities and companies is increasingly a winning choice to orient and involve young people in Stem disciplines. Managing director Mirta Michilli is convinced of this, as she recounts in the magazine Digital Agenda the experience of the Coding Girls in Bergamo, at the Ponte San Pietro headquarters of Roboteco Italargon, a leading company in the production of robotic welding systems.

‘I believe that this experience, in search of creative solutions among the robotic islands, is truly unprecedented. A milestone in gender equality education in Stem disciplines. I am increasingly convinced that the vertical alliance between schools, universities and companies, with a strong focus on the territories, is the winning formula to educate new generations and actively involve communities in fair and sustainable development choices,' writes Mirta Michilli.

No doubt, in a few years‘ time we would like to find our girls’ names among the outstanding women in robotics selected by the IFR... but actually, thinking about it, it doesn't matter: the challenge we really care about is to give young women back their future and the chance to make personal and professional choices freely and serenely. And we like the idea that in whatever field they find themselves operating, they are everywhere passionate about work well done, in the common interest, and that they are ‘successful’ women even behind the scenes. To achieve this goal, technology, including robotics, is our ally'.
