RomeCup 2024: The message of SIRI President Domenico Appendino

Italy ranks sixth globally for the sale and diffusion of work robots, with a growth rate double that of the rest of Europe. Metalworking and robotics are therefore two excellences of our country. So, what really is the impact of robotics on society? Robots eliminate harmful, heavy and repetitive jobs, creating new opportunities for skilled employment. It is no coincidence that the lowest unemployment rate characterizes economies with the greatest diffusion of robotic technologies.

It is therefore right to join events such as the RomeCup 2024, to support an initiative that reflects social, environmental, and economic challenges on topics such as artificial intelligence and robotics. Engineer Domenico Appendino [see CV], President of the Italian Robotics and Automation Association (SIRI) explains why they gave their patronage to RomeCup.
