“I have always been interested in training and I want to bet on projects that can help local growth, like #SheMeansBusiness,” explains Guido Ramini, who is a specialised consultant in enterprise strategy. “Recognising and capitalising on the work of women in our enterprises is fundamental to incentivise the growth of the economic and marketing potential of our companies, stimulating the imitation of positive models,” explains Guido. “When women are successful, the economy benefits from it.”

“I hope that the women entrepreneurs who participate in these training sessions will find useful ideas to improve their company visibility and reach all of their business objectives,” adds Lisa Di Bello, an on-line marketing expert.

Lisa and Guido are the coaches that held the training session for She Means Business, the Facebook Programme implemented in Italy in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, to promote women in enterprise. The training session in Chieti, held today, featured the participation of over 100 women.

WOMEN IN TRAINING – A QUICK LOOK

Over 40% of the registered women have already kicked off an entrepreneurial activity in a range of different sectors, ranging from craftsmanship to tourism. Nineteen per cent is still in search of employment. Women looking for a different lifestyle include housewives (7%) and employees (11%). The women are aged 24 to 62, and over 16% of those aged over 50 would like to change profession.
