Elisabetta Gramatica on the 2nd “TD Learn & Give Back” session.

Commerce has never been a mere exchange of goods, but a true bridge between people, ideas, and cultures. Over the course of the centuries, trade has allowed communities to meet and share knowledge, traditions, and innovations. With the advent of the digital revolution, this bridge has evolved rapidly, transforming a physical and local system into a global infrastructure that can overcome geographical and time barriers. Today, thanks to e-commerce, anyone can participate in the global market with a simple click, independently from their geographical position or the size of their activity. This “democratization” of commerce provides unprecedented opportunities for entrepreneurs, opening up new opportunities for growth and innovation.

In this context, on Tuesday, Oct. 17, the Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan, hosted the 2nd session of TD Learn & Give Back, a project promoted by Terziario Donna Milano in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS. This initiative, with a strong social impact, pairs expert entrepreneurs with women who, thanks to the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s reskilling and upskilling initiatives, seek new professional adventures. The training session, which also saw the participation of our Director General, Mirta Michilli, was held by Sara BarniHead of E-commerce. It was an exciting journey into the world of e-commerce, a sector that more than ever before embraces all types of trade: from small local craftsmen to SMEs and large multinationals. Indeed, e-commerce has redesigned the way in which companies sell to and interact with clients. Moreover, digital commerce has not only abolished geographical barriers, but also provided extraordinary opportunities to anyone seeking to find a new niche on the labour market. Knowing how to use e-commerce tools means having access to a much vaster consumer basing and new forms of marketing and data management that are crucial to remain competitive in an increasingly connected and digital world.

Ange Laurie Mondah, a young mother who has temporarily paused her academic career during her maternity, was the special guest. She is now ready to jump back in and seek a new challenge on the job market. After having successfully participated in the Social Media Marketer Course held by Project Dig4All, Ange Laurie can’t wait to use her new skills and, with the support of an entrepreneur from Terziario Donna, understand how to orient herself in this new professional chapter.

The message that we all – entrepreneurs, women ready to access or return to the job market, employees seeking new stimuli and challenges – brought to this second meeting was the importance of lifelong learning and reciprocal support amongst women in an era of great technological and social changes. Project "TD Learn & GiveBack" represents exactly this. It’s a precious opportunity to transform knowledge and experience into levers for the future of courageous and ambitious women.

See you at the next session!
