Artificial Intelligence: More Training is Necessary

Job Digital Lab: local event in Isernia with the university and chamber of commerce.

The ISTAT Business and ICT 2023 Report presents companies that are still not aware of the potential provided by artificial intelligence (AI). In our country, in fact, only 5% of businesses with 10 or more employees use AI, against a European average of 8%. While it is true that the consensus is unanimous on the advantages that can be introduced by new technology, there also is an entrance barrier that is very high in terms of costs and especially skills. In fact, 55.1% of enterprises would be unable to fully exploit it. Therefore, the best option is training.

AI is much more helpful to individuals who update their skills and may reach a 30% increase in productivity, while workers who do not take courses only obtain a 10% increase. AI is an amplifier. It doesn’t build up from zero. Businesses must invest in training their staff to remain on the market.

In order to help companies keep updated and exploit the opportunities provided by digital innovation, Job Digital Lab, the programme with ING Italia for the development of digital skills, will be in Isernia on June 27 (14:30) with a training event – GenerIAmo: Creating Innovative Content for Business – organised in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Molise, the Digital Enterprise Point, and the University of Molise.

The event targets SMEs, professionals, and students who wish to learn more about how AI can help them communicate efficiently and improve their on-line presence. The workshop will show participants how AI can be used to acquire data and create and manage content for promotional campaigns on social media. Moreover, local entrepreneurial success stories that have used digital tools to drive their business will be presented, including Planet Call.
