AI for Inclusive Schooling

The “Missione Uomo” magazine presents Project Pathway Companion.

“The advent of generative artificial intelligence could,” thanks to this ambitious project, “help teachers and parents, automatising part of their tutoring activities and allowing them, for example, to turn to private tutors (who are often not economically accessible) by enjoying a tool developed by expert child neuropsychiatrists and neuropsychologists. Moreover, the platform follows students and will be able to adapt to their personal growth and modify the proposed compensative tools.

Teachers will be able to upload their didactic material to the platform and it will be readapted and presented (following teacher approval) to each student, custom-tailored to their needs and levels. The role of AI will be that of readapting the content provided by teachers based on the needs of each student. In turn, the students will not be left alone to interact with AI, but will be under the supervision of their parents, who will act as a mediator.

The “Pathway Companion” Platform will provide support throughout the entire school experience […].

Missione Uomo, the magazine published by the Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi, has dedicated an article to Project Pathway Companion, highlighting its advantages for teachers, educators, and parents. The project involves the Department of Child Neuropsychiatry and Rehabilitation, directed by Anna Cavallini  and the Development and Innovation Directorate, directed by Furio Gramatica.
