For the digital training of housewives and househusbands
The project, coordinated by Gema (the Italian Association for the Development of Computer Literacy) is financed by the Department of Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, in response to the ‘Public Notice for the financing of projects aimed at the personal training of housewives and househusbands’.
The aim of the project is the digital inclusion of housewives and househusbands, for their domestic activities but also for their insertion or reinsertion into the labour market.
An online training course consisting of seven modules in synchronous mode (information and data literacy, content creation, communication and collaboration, problem solving, IT security, citizen services, household management) aims to develop and strengthen digital skills, so that new technologies can play an enabling role for all participants.
Over the course of 12 months, six editions of the training course are planned; at the end of each edition, upon passing the tests for the evaluation of skills within each module and guaranteeing at least 80% attendance, an open badge will be issued to certify the skills acquired.
The project aims to contribute to the digital evolution of the country through the promotion of online training interventions aimed at the acquisition of digital skills by the vast audience of people who carry out domestic work, both women and men. Spreading the advantages of the digital ecosystem to housewives and househusbands can increase the well-being of families, make society and the labour market more inclusive, and support citizens who are not fragile by nature, but made fragile by culture, by an imperfect and unbalanced social system.
