Who Are the Bullies?

Who Are the Bullies?

Who Are the Bullies?

“Selfish, clumsy, presumptuous and power-hungry,” is how bullies are defined by Francesco who, together with Marta, a psychologist and psychotherapist from the Rifornimento in Volo Social Cooperative, has discovered the true meaning of respect, empathy and resilience, representing each of these concepts with the help of Lego bricks.

As part of the course on "How to React to and Contrast Bullying," part of European Project DisAbuse - Disablist Bullying - Experience into Change, Providing the Right Support Services, coaches at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale led the reflection using materials developed together with project partners and the Lego® Serious Play® and MTa Learning tools.

How do you defend yourself from bullies? “Speaking, sharing and alerting our friends, teachers and parents to what is happening.” This is doubtlessly the biggest lesson learned by Francesco, a very tall, extremely sweet and delicate young man. Here is his interview with Ilaria Bonanni [@ilariabonanni].

The methodology, which was successfully applied during the course with 27 participants - young men and women with special educational needs and 12 teachers, trainers and psychologists – will be replicated at a workshop held during the international conference that will be held in Rome on September 27, 2019 at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (Via del Quadraro 102).

To participate in the conference, you must complete the on-line registration form. The final programme will soon be available on-line.

The project is implemented as part of the Erasmus+ Programme by the Anti-bullying Centre at the University of Dublin (Ireland), Fondazione Mondo Digitale (Italy), Institute of Art & Design Technology (Ireland), University of Lisbon (Portugal) and University of Murcia (Spain).
