The third testing phase for Project MaTHiSiS - Managing Affective-learning THrough Intelligent atoms and Smart InteractionS is nearing its conclusion. The project is funded by the European Commisssion as part of the Horizon2020 ICT 2015 Programme – Information and Communication Technologies. For over three years, 18 partners from nine different countries (Spain, France, Greece, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Lithuania) have worked on the project.

 

The Mathisis System provides custom-tailored learning tracks based on the emotional analysis of the learners [see news: Emotions and Learning]. This week, the Fratelli Cervi e Rita Levi Montalcini Schools, administered respectively by Ida Paladino and Cristina Costarelli, will work with TurtleBot, the mobile robotic platform that can independently accomplish a series of tasks.

 

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is leading the testing phase in Italian schools. The teachers, who have already been trained on the use of the platform, will start independently the software and learning graphics developed during the summer with their students. The staff of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is following all testing phases and provides technological and pedagogical support to guarantee the best possible user experience.
