From Treviso to Trapani

The second edition of Project CS First, promoted with Google, will hold two educational sessions this week for teachers [see news: Education is Viral].

This afternoon, Mirko Labbri will hold a session at IC San Fior in Treviso, while tomorrow morning Vincenzo Di Pumpo will be at IC Giovanni XXIII di Paceco (Trapani).

Teachers will be introduced to the CS First Platform for more involving and custom-tailored didactic activities aiming to develop the computational though of students, as well as learn how to programme with the Scratch block language. By applying coding transversally and in a custom-tailored manner to all subjects, students are attracted to programming and the lessons become more dynamic and interactive.

Who are the Coaches?

Vincenzo Di Pumpo

"You can only know what you love" (Augustine)

Born in Puglia in 1979, after having earned two specialistic degrees in the humanities, Vincenzo di Pumpo has taught religion in primary school since 2008. In an attempt to introduce subjects that the students would be interested in – and constant professional updating – I looked for and introduced a range of innovative didactic strategies and digital tools. Today, I am sharing my experiences with other teachers and promote it throughout my school as proof that one need not be an engineer to apply digital didactic activities.
