Towards Didattiche 2020

Towards Didattiche 2020

Towards Didattiche 2020

In the run-up to Didattiche.2020 (Rimini and online, Nov. 13-14, 2020), the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with the Centro Studi Erickson, continues to host original webinars for teachers on tinkering, making and coding. The objective is to support and promote innovation and digital transformation processes in Italian school at a crucial point at which it is increasingly important to design and develop new modes of learning and teaching.

Tinkering, making and coding are didactic activities that promote use of manual, visual-spatial, creative and collaborative skills, as well as logical-scientific thinking, giving life to both plugged and unplugged transversal activities that can be custom-tailored to the needs of each class and subject.

Schedule - July

ENVIRONMENT | Respect nature!

July 15, 4.00-5.30 pm

Leaves have a different colour in each stage of their lives. Diversity is a value and a personal peculiarity. Learn to analyse the colours of nature, as well as our words and behaviour in real life (both on and off of the web). Teachers can educate youth to gentleness and respect by showing them how to react constructively to inappropriate behaviour.

PHYSICS | Relations and Life

July 20, 11.30 am – 1.00 pm

Just like a magnet attracts metal, even the web exerts a strong attraction, often driving us to unkind behaviour. In Physics, there are laws that govern these phenomena and experiments can help us discover them. We may commit errors in our daily lives or find ourselves in complicated positions. However, even in this case, we have “laws” that help us to understand by listening and speaking. Errors help us to grow, just as doubts do. We can speak things through to resolve issues.

ASTRONOMIC GEOGRAPHY | It may be true that ...

July 22, 4.00-5.30

If you look up at the sky in the evening, you will notice that the moon changes shape every day. At times, it’s a luminous circle, while at others it’s a barely visible sliver. How is this possible? You will discover that in this lab! Are we sure that it’s true? One of the most common risks run by young men and women is to be duped on-line. So, it’s important to teach them how to distinguish truths from falsehoods.

PROGRAMMING | Speaking in Code

July 23, 2.00-3.30 pm

Coding is a language, a tool to teach transversal activities and alternative didactic solutions based around the specific needs of each student. Coding activities are motivating and fun. They quickly become games, and this makes them inclusive, promoting the skills nad abilities of every student.
