Promoting the educational role of school for training of active citizens amongst the new generations and creating a network of young “Knowledge Volunteers” to share experiences and competences means creating a democratic knowledge society.
This is the objective of the “Telemouse 3.0 – Knowledge Volunteers Award promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Telecom Italia with the patronage of the Ministry of Youth.
The project is part of the European Knowledge Centre for Youth Policy (EKCYP), created by the partnership between the European Council and the European Commission.
There will be two scholarships awarded by the Telemouse 3.0 competition: two experiences of excellence in the field of digital volunteering during TeleMouse lessons or as digitial animators at the Telecom Internet Corners at the elderly centers in Rome.
Schools and elderly centers will nominate the best experiences. To participate, the nomination form must be sent to the Fondazione Mondo Digitale by April 15, 2011.
