While we are still waiting for the publication of the official RoboCup (Montreal, June 18-22, 2018) results, here are the results achieved by the four Italian teams selected at RomeCup 2018 (April 16-18).
In the Soccer League Category, Team Mega Hertz from IIS Cobianchi in Verbania was awarded the prize for "Best Presentation."
In the Superteam Soccer Light Weight Category, Team SPQR1 from the Galileo Galilei School in Rome placed third.
In the Cospace Rescue Category, Team Papaoutai from IIS Archimede in Catania placed second become World Deputy Champions!
We have kept in touch with our teams at the Montreal World RoboCup Championships in real time thanks to the WhatsApp group chat created by Francesca Del Duca. The professor-coaches shared their problems (both technical and organisations) as well as results and selfies. We had the feeling that we were communicating with a single big team that collaborated enthusiastically. Congratulations, one again, to everyone: students, teachers and directors!
