Thanks to Programme Ambizione Italia for Schools, dedicated to improving digital skills, teachers can take advantage of a free course on artificial intelligence (AI). The four-hour course, conceived for teachers and educators, will address the potential and risks of the technology that is rapidly transforming our ways of learning, living and working.

Here is a demo of the programme, while this is the official video of Programme Ambizione Italia, promoted with Microsoft and other partners.

The course on AI will be held in Milan at the Microsoft House AI Class on Viale Pasubio 21. If there are over 20 teachers interested in the course from the same school, the meetings can also be organised at the school. All labs require registration and have limited seating. Following the course, the teachers will evaluate whether and how to propose the lab to their classes and how to continue the course on the potential of AI. Here is a profile of our courses.

We believe that school plays a crucial role in digital culture and the promotion of inclusive transformation throughout the country. If we manage to unite human values with the power of artificial intelligence, we will be able to solve the real problems of thousands of individuals (just think about custom-tailored therapies) and prevent inequality and technology abuse. In order to achieve this, we have to accelerate the education of teachers and students, who must be capable of actively participating in the debate, overcoming the gap between enthusiasts and detractors.

We are certain, today more than ever, that education can be the corner stone of democracy and that only school can guarantee the inclusive development that embraces everyone.

Crediamo che la scuola giochi un ruolo cruciale nel fare cultura digitale e sostenere la trasformazione inclusiva del Paese. Se diventiamo capaci di combinare i valori umani con la potenza di calcolo dell'intelligenza artificiale possiamo risolvere problemi reali per migliaia di persone, basti pensare alle terapie personalizzate, e prevenire disuguaglianze e abusi della tecnologia. Per questo occorre accelerare la formazione di docenti e studenti, per essere in grado di prendere parte attiva al dibattito, superando la polarizzazione tra entusiasti e spaventati. Siamo convinti che, oggi più che mai, l'educazione sia la pietra angolare della democrazia e che solo la scuola possa garantire uno sviluppo inclusivo che non lasci indietro nessuno.
