Summer Camp with TIM

As part of the national School of Internet for Everyone Programme, TIM and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale present a free summer camp for students in their last three years of secondary school. This immersive experience will introduce them to the main digital tools used to simplify our daily tasks, keep in touch, overcome obstacles and create development: from elements of digital citizenship and safety to platforms for collaboration and sharing. Each module will present real case studies and explore the new technology, which from 5G to blockchain, from the cloud to crowdfunding platforms, are modifying our ways of living, working, relating to others and producing, proposing new scenarios, and opportunities, as well as risks.

The course includes 4 modules:

  • Our Digital Advantage – from on-line searches to the many uses of the cloud; how Industry 4.0 is changing production with 5G and IoT.
  • Digital Security – what do we mean by social engineering? Learn to recognise how it works to defend ourselves from IT threats; from cryptography to blockchain…
  • Digital Protagonists - the Internet is all about collaboration. Learn to use platforms and tools to develop and integrate applications for work and distance sharing.
  • Social – social media are used to share, communicate and promote ourselves (LinkedIn). How can we defend our privacy and behave correctly online?

The course, which will be held on Classroom with 25 students in each group, will include:

  • 4 hours of live webinars with TIM Coaches
  • Mini game, quizzes, video and other material (for asynchronous use).

At the end of the summer camp, the students who participated in at least 3 of the 4 meetings will receive an open badge participation certificate. Activities will be recognised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as PCTO (Soft Skill and Orientation Courses) for a total of 12 hours.

Interested schools should complete the on-line application.
