The role of Digital Facilitation Centres
‘For many adults, returning to a school is a way to rediscover learning as a daily experience. And ‘attendance’ generates a ‘school effect’, a virtuous circle that stimulates not only the solution of practical problems related to digital literacy, but also a broader desire to improve one's level of knowledge. Many citizens, initially driven only by immediate needs, then return to deepen their skills and discover new tools’.
What is the role of digital facilitation centres in building a more equitable and inclusive society? In the article published in the magazine Agenda Digitale, the general director Mirta Michilli explores the value of these spaces as environments for continuous learning, support for citizenship and accelerators of skills for all ages. In addition to bridging the digital divide, the centres represent an opportunity to strengthen social participation and offer concrete tools for greater autonomy.
