Rising Youth, young people at the forefront of social innovation with SAP
SAP Italia is strengthening its commitment to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) to reduce the skills gap and offer new opportunities to young people. Among the initiatives supported in 2025 is the fourth edition of Rising Youth, a project promoted in collaboration with Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, which involved 400 secondary school students.
During the school year, the young people took part in five training sessions led by SAP volunteers, focusing on strategic issues for the future of work: Artificial Intelligence applied to business processes, sustainability, code development and resilient supply chains. The course ended with a hackathon hosted as part of RomeCup 2025, a leading event for educational robotics and career guidance for the future.
The final challenge was won by the Silent Help team [go to the app] from class 4ª AIT of the A. Pacinotti Technical Industrial Institute in Fondi (Latina), with an innovative app designed to provide timely and discreet support to women who find themselves in a situation of risk or are already victims of gender-based violence. The app uses advanced artificial intelligence and geolocation features to ensure safety and immediate assistance [see news item Artificial intelligence for sustainability].

The Rising Youth project is part of a broader SAP strategy to promote digital, entrepreneurial and cross-cutting skills among the younger generation, with a particular focus on young people in vulnerable or excluded situations. This commitment is shared by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, which has always been active in building educational alliances capable of generating social value and new opportunities for growth.
