Inaugural conference (10 am) at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”
RomeCup, the largest innovation event dedicated to youth, is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and organised with Italian Tech and the GEDI Publishing Group [see press note].
The 17th edition, entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for the Holistic Sustainability Challenge,” has the patronage of Regione Lazio, Roma Capitale, Unindustria, and the Italian Robotics and Automation Association (SIRI). Partners include Inail, Microsoft, Sap, Johnson & Johnson, Opening Future (joint project with Google Cloud, Intesa Sanpaolo, and TIM Enterprise). Atac is the mobility partner; SiEnergie the technical partner.
RomeCup is a multi-event that reflects on social, environmental, and economic challenges by focusing on individuals. Since 2007, it introduces students to STEM studies and careers, and helps them develop the most requested professional skills.
A unique appointment with tech demos, contests with schools and universities, a hackathon, and other special events, as well as talks with scientists, educators, and managers. Moreover, the “Most Promising Researcher in Robotics and AI” award winner will also be announced at RomeCup.
In the age of the “great technological acceleration,” RomeCup is also an opportunity to provide a concrete answer to the challenges posed by AI and robotics today, starting from our youth. The Manifesto for Collective Action on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is an invitation to form a strategic alliance to work together on 10 concrete actions that will allow our country to advance towards a form of development based on skills and youth, so not to create further inequality, exclusion, and poverty.
