The teams are leaving for the Bordeaux RoboCup on July 4-10
Tomorrow, the World Robotics Championships begin in Bordeaux, France (RoboCup, June 4-10). In the run up to the new challenges, let’s review the successes of Italian teams at the European Championships and share some of the material that we have received from schools.
The Italian RoboCup Regional Committee, coordinated by Daniele Nardi, has summarised the achievements of Italian schools on its Facebook page, including all special prizes, with compliments to all the participants: “We are proud of the excellent results of our teams at the RoboCup Junior European Championship. Way to go!”

Students in Class 5D, studying computer science at the Vito Volterra School in San Donà di Piave, qualified for the Bordeaux Championships in the Rescue Simulation category with Team Fall Itis. “Students Alin Odobescu and Michele Tesser are taking their state exams but will soon dedicate themselves full time to perfecting their software,” Prof. Fabrizio Vendramin wrote a few days ago to Fiammetta Castagnini.
Even the local press addressed the school’s achievements …
The website of the Istituto Cobianchi in Verbania has also posted updates on the robotic feats of their students in Croatia. The Cobianche teams are coordinated by Professors Raimondo Sgrò and Marco Benaglia, and Davide Frova for the Elettra Robotics Lab. Here’s a photo from the “Sala della Protomoteca” at the Rome Campidoglio during RomeCup 2023.
Unfortunately, the team from the Galileo Galilei School in Rome has been forced to cancel its trip to the World Championships in France. We still do not know the official motivation, but it’s a pity for a school that has always created great champions!
