Today, courses kick off at the Innovation Gym for un 14 migrants (men and women who have a regular residence permit for political asylum or subsidiary protection, who have left the reception system no more than 18 months ago).

 

The course is promoted by Roman Association Address, as part of Project Per.Se.O. – Courses, Services, Orientation for Social and Working Integration for International Protection Holders (Fami Fund 2014-2020).

 

Address is a non-profit association founded in 2016. It pursues social solidarity and promotes inclusion, human rights, equal opportunities and active citizenship.

 

The association seeks to contrast marginalisation, socio-economic distress and religious, racial and gender discrimination. It is registered with the UNAR and UNRRA registers.

 

The digital literacy programme is based on 25 course hours held by Coach Lara Forgione.

 

  • March 8 (4 hours) | Computers & Mobile Devices
    Internal composition (hardware and software differences); managing files, folders and applications; using the search function; managing the control panel and settings for smartphones and tablets; practical exercises.

 

  • March 9 (4 hours) | Internet
    What is the Internet? How to surf the web; browsers and search (basic and advanced); searching for local needs (related to Module 1); practical exercises.

 

  • March 10 (4 hours) | Using an Account
    How to create an account; e-mail accounts (use, structure, similarities and differences amongst various programmes); cloud space (provided by external account); writing tools (introduction to Word, Excel, PowerPoint); practical exercises.
     
  • March 15 (4 hours) | Writing Tools
    Using Word and templates; Excel and templates; developing presentations with PowerPoint and presentation templates; Importing pdf files; other file types (txt, jpeg, png, zip); practical exercises.

 

  • March 16 (3 hours) | Looking for Work
    Creating a curriculum and cover letters; how to look for work and present oneself; platforms; practical exercises.

 

  • March 17 (3 hours) | Social Networks
    Differences, use, main aims (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TiKTok, LinkedIn); practical exercises.

 

  • March 18 or 22 (3 hours) | Dangers on the Web
    Using the web carefully; learning to identify frauds, avoid malware, understand cookies and seeking reliable news; practical exercises.
