The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has proposed a new pilot project based on the objectives of the Centro Enea: integration and independence. The pilot addresses “support for independence and job insertion” and integratessocial learning, local activities and collaboration with schools.
The pilot aims to increase local mobility and professional job insertion for refugees and takes into account the real needs and obstacles that they encounter.
The first six beneficiaries are all guests of the Centro Enea. Adel (30) is from Sudan and has worked both in Italy and abroad as a professional welder. Thanks to Project Ricominciodatre, Adel has attended a 20-hour course to obtain a scooter license and an 80-hour course to receive ECDL Certification at the ITIS E. Fermiin Rome. Now, Adel is specializing in tax assistance through an internship at the sociale Queens Servizi social cooperative, managed by Reyna Victoria Terrones Castro, Deputy President of Confcooperative Lazio. At present, Adel is in charge of the archive, but he will soon be completing his first tax form!
Interwoven Stories
Reyna is from Peru. She arrived in Italy in 1993, working as a house cleaner by day and assisting hospital patients at night. In 2004, after a training course, Reyna founded the Queens Servizi Cooperative that now has two operative headquarters and 17 partners from around the world. Reyna is also President of the Associazione Nuovi Europei, promoted by Confcooperative Lazio, which has 600 partners from 76 countries.
The results of Project Ricominciodatre will be presented at the World Refugee Day 2011. Details on the event will be published shortly.
