Inauguration of the permanent exhibition space at IIS Via Roma 298
On Thursday, November 3, from 9 am to 2 pm, the new PerArtEM - Permanent Art Exhibition at Majorana will be inaugurated at the “Mario Verdone” Auditorium, IIS Via Roma 298 in Guidonia.
The exhibition area will be dedicated to works produced by the students in the labs during the school year. The images will narrate a course spanning from knowledge to know-how, from design to development, and discovery to invention.
The exhibition will begin with the works produced by students over the period 2019-22, including two works in concrete developed outside of the school. The new set up features QR codes by every work to allow visitors to access audio guides, dedicated websites, and videos.
The event will also provide the opportunity to open a debate on the possible evolutionary scenarios of didactics in Italian schools, with a special session from 11:45 to 1:00. There will also be a contribution by FMD Scientific Director and Personal Chair in Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh, Alfonso Molina.
Works in the exhibition include double desk trib[ut]e, 24 ephemeral open-air didactic installations developed during the first six months of 2021, winner of the International Global Junior Challenge Award (December 2021)
TIB RO-LAB, a cultural business model for Rome, placed first at the call for ideas Ro-Lab | Rome Live Art Lab, launched with the United States Embassy in Rome (July 2020).
All exhibited works (2016-22) may also be enjoyed on the PerArtEM website.
