FMD has obtained the UNI/PdR 42:2018 reference practice certification.
According to the United Nations, globally, one student out of three aged 13-15 has experienced bullying. In total, every year, 246 million children and adolescents suffer some form of violence or bullying at school. In Italy, a report recently published by the Post and Communications Police has extended the map of on-line risks for minors, identifying the emergence of new phenomena such as social challenges, which drive youth to behave dangerously, or the improper use of applications based on artificial intelligence that can amplify cyberbullying and create dangerous content. Another worrying issue is the progressively younger age of the victims, ever younger children who are involved in bullying and/or exposed to the dangers of the web.
In this context, our achievements present an even more important value. We have obtained the UNI/PdR 42:2018 reference practice certification that underlines our constant commitment to prevent and contrast bullying and cyberbullying. This certification is not only a recognition of our work, but also concrete proof of our determination to guarantee safe environments that are inclusive and respectful of youth.
We are certain that shared commitment, dialogue with families, and collaboration with schools will allow us to create a society free from all forms of violence. This recognition represents a new starting point for us to further intensify our prevention and awareness-raising activities.
Moreover, this result confirms FMD as a reference point in the promotion of safe and inclusive environments, in which all youth can grow and develop freely, without fear of discrimination or harassment.
The UNI/PdR 42:2018 is not a final goal, but a new starting point to reinforce our mission: fight against all forms of bullying and develop a fairer and more respectful society.
