Project Suburb View kicks off at the Ostia “Idroscalo.
Today, there will be the first meeting for Project Suburb View that will field the skills volunteering formula with Urban Vision. The protagonist will be artist Giacomo Lion, who will face collaborative artistic production with 14 year-four students studying graphics and communications at the Carlo Urbani Institute in Ostia.
Suburb View will allow the students to participate, together with the educational community, in a lab for the collaborative production of a creative work promoting an area significant to the school community. The course will be held by digital artists from Urban Vision with the skills volunteering formula and coordinated by Fondazione Mondo Digitale coaches.
Cecilia Stajano, Community Coordinator, and Miriam Pintore, Project Officer, will oversee activities at the school directed by Rosa Cacioppo.
We first met Giacomo Lion ten years ago during the first edition of the Media Art Festival and immediately appreciated his ability to work on the various phases of the creative process with schools, and even with very young students.
