The Microsoft Give Campaign

Half an hour a week to meet the associations

Volunteering makes “employees more aware and responsible to the community, allowing them to meet with a world they knew nothing about, overcome subconscious prejudice, and participate in societal change.” [Sodalitas, Volontariato d’impresa: l’esperienza delle aziende in Italia]

During October, Microsoft has dedicated half an hour a week to meet the associations involved in company volunteering through the Give Campaign. Today, from 12.30 to 13.00, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be presented by Francesca Del Duca. The meeting will take place on the Microsoft Teams Platform.

We have recently experimented many successful company volunteering experiences: employees of companies and large corporations have provided their experience and skills to contribute to the success of projects, especially through training activities and role modelling.

The formula that we prefer combines skills volunteering with team volunteering in practical activities to help communities(hackathons, civic challenges, solidarity football games, etc.) Indeed, this is a quality training experience that adheres to various European frameworks: DigCom, DigCompEdu, DigCompConsumers.
