The Immersive Restaurant

After studying at a scientific lyceum, Marco (27) collected a series of failure for nearly ten years. He tried to enrol in university, changed faculty and then gave up.

Then, one day, he ran into the Officina – New Jobs Workshop on the web and applied for the Call4youth. He was immediately fascinated by the experience in the Immersive Lab, where he learned about extraordinary technology and unknown opportunities.

He returned to Palermo with an idea that is now quickly turning into a project. It’s about a long-standing passion: cooking. Now, Marco wants to open up a ludic and didactic “immersive restaurant” as he calls it … something to develop a new, more aware consumer.

Marco was interviewed by Ida Gugliielmotti for the Cosa succede in città? Programme broadcast on Radio InBlu (Monday, September 12, 2015).

The Officina – New Jobs Workshop is a project conceived by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Google to promote digital skills and implement professional training and orientation activities for 10,000 young men and women currently looking for a job. The initiative has been organised with the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the collaboration of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Regione Lazio and Roma Capitale.
