In our system, “both scholastic and professional orientation are too complex. This is the reason behind the partnership between the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Ericsson. Together, we are introducing second-degree secondary school students to research centres and universities. It’s important,” point out Mirta Michilli, “that young men and women can imagine a future developed on advanced skills. Italy has many public and private centres of excellence. We must open them up to youth, as that is where they will develop tomorrow’s jobs.”
Together with Maria Cristina Messa, Minister for University and Research, Mirta Michilli participated in the session on "Enabling New Ways of Learning" at Imagine Possible, an event promoted by Ericsson Italia to explore how advanced connectivity could improve didactic activities and make them more accessible and interesting.
At the event, the Fondazione Lars Magnus Ericsson and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale presented 5GBOT, a project to introduce the new generations to studies in scientific subjects and the new skills and professional profiles in demand on the job market.
We share Mirta Michilli’s address and the report published on CorCom: Imagine Possible. Skills, Messa: “Digital Tools in All Degree Programmes” (in Italian).
