Today, Vagone FMD will welcome the grandparents of students at the Rome Istituto comprensivo Falcone-Borsellino, who will attend their first lesson on digital literacy for the elderly. The course will be held by young tutors from IIS Leonardo Da Vinci in Rome. This experience is a first for the school, its families and the local community that will travel to Binario F, the new Facebook facility dedicated to digital competences at the Rome Termini Railway Station.
The Istituto Falcone-Borsellino, directed by Cinzia Di Palo, is located in Rome’s 2nd District, the smallest one. It covers the same are as Sondrio and has as many residents as Perugia, as well as a high percentage of elders. In fact, its ageing index (197.7) is significantly higher than the Roman average (163.8).
Who is the Headmistress who welcomed this original educational proposal? What role did the grandchildren play? What is the level of the grandparents? Professor Annalisa Ventura answered these questions by Ilaria Bonanni in a phone interview.
