Elettra Robotics Lab wins the Rising Star Award in the @Home category
At RomeCup 2023, in the showcase area, Sapienza University of Rome and the Liceo Vian in Bracciano presented the didactic applications of the MARRtino Robot, a low-cost differential transmission robotic platform based on ROS and available in various configurations. In Bordeaux, at the recent robotics world championships (RoboCup, July 4-10), the Elettra Robotics Lab Association participated with MaRRtino in the challenges in the @Home Edu category, winning the prestigious Rising Star Award.
@Home Edu is a competition that concentrates on service robotics and the creation of intelligent robots to interact with domestic environments. The objective is to promote research and the development of technology that will improve the life quality of people in their own homes, providing assistance and support in various domestic chores.
Elettra Robotics Lab is a non-profit association cofounded by Prof. Raimondo Sgrò. Robot-makers and activities collaborate closely with students at the L. Cobianchi School in Verbania. Together, they have placed various times on the RomeCup podium and other international competitions.
