As part of the course on "How to React to and Contrast Bullying," part of European Project DisAbuse - Disablist Bullying - Experience into Change, Providing the Right Support Services, coaches at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale led the reflection using materials developed together with project partners and the Lego® Serious Play® and MTa Learning tools.

The methodology, which was successfully applied during the course with 27 participants - young men and women with special educational needs and 12 teachers, trainers and psychologists – will be replicated at a workshop held during the international conference that will be held in Rome on September 27, 2019 at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (Via del Quadraro 102).

What are the peculiar characteristics of this methodology? Let’s see what the protagonists say, thanks to the interviews produced by Ilaria Bonanni [@ilariabonanni].

The first interview is with Pier, a fourth-year high school student, and Simona, his assistant, a teacher at the Rome Magarotto Institute for the Deaf. “What really strikes me about him is his ability to communicate with others, his ability to really understand them,” says Ilaria Bonanni. “Notwithstanding his communicational issues, Pier communicates far better than many other people, clearly expressing his ideas. Working with him in the group on bullying allowed him to share his difficulties with others and discover new points of view to understand how to collaborate.”

To participate in the conference, you must complete the on-line registration form. The final programme will soon be available on-line.

The project is implemented as part of the Erasmus+ Programme by the Anti-bullying Centre at the University of Dublin (Ireland), Fondazione Mondo Digitale (Italy), Institute of Art & Design Technology (Ireland), University of Lisbon (Portugal) and University of Murcia (Spain).
