Digital transformation is not just about communication. It has permeated every human environment. We have a digital space, a true new habitat, and we constantly interact between the real and the virtual, between on-line and off-line, between digital and analogic.
In a new article published on the Agenda Digitale magazine, Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, reflects on the contribution that schools can give to training a digital citizenship, starting to metabolise digital policy issues, ethical decisions and governance challenges to understand how and why everything is changing.
“We have to ready the new generations for these issues, ranging from artificial intelligence to the critical points of digital sovereignty, and responsibly erect the future. We have to bring global digital citizenship issues into schools, provide a universal high-quality education for everyone, not only to provide a future to millions of students who are at risk, but also to design a fairer, more responsible and sustainable future together with the new generations.”
